I love my bed, it took me like 4hrs to put together by my self, but I did it and its awesome. If putting together alone make sure you pay attention to all the directions and pay close attention to which surface is and down.

I have read comments online saying their bedframe came damaged or incomplete. I had no issues with damages. Other people also said it took 2 people 2 hours to put it together. I put mine together by myself in an hour and a half from unboxing to final set up. It sets up like ikea furniture. It is heavy though when it comes in the box and I recommend using a second person to help transport the box to where you want to start building. I put a lot of long-term storage stuff in the middle compartment under the mattress support to maximize storage space- the only downside to this is you have to take your mattress off the frame to get to the extra storage space in the middle if you choose to use it. I also bought 2 12x12x12 fabric storage cubes and bed bath and beyond to contain extra items - they aren't as tight of a fit as the 14x14 ones that come with the frame but the smaller baskets don't look out of place other than the pattern not matching. The bed frame only comes with 4 baskets (this isn't well advertised). over-all I like the product and I recommend it if you are looking for a bed frame with easy-access storage.

So I shopped for a full sized bed for my daughter’s tiny room for over 6 months before choosing this one. I was originally looking at one with the storage drawers and friends told me they were junk. I went to several furniture stores and looked at ones that were 3-4 times the price of this bed and the storage drawers just weren’t sturdy. I looked at secondhand beds. But by the time I paid for the bed, the truck and help to move it etc it would have been the same price or more than this bed. So I went with this.First, it’s sturdy! It doesn’t have those slats. Even the best slats seem to break, fall out and make a mattress wear unevenly. This has flat boards that are in there nice and tight. Yet can be easily removed to use the space under the bed for long term storage. While it is made from press board it is solid! It doesn’t wobble at all. Doesn’t feel weak. I don’t feel like I have to ease into the bed. Doesn’t creek.I love that the edges at the foot of the bed are curved. It’s a little detail that all too often gets missed and you wind up cursing the designers. Now for a few cons. I only took off 1 star for these because over all I am happy with the bed. These may be a deal breaker for you.*The “scheduled” delivery was 8 days early. Thank goodness I was home to ask the UPS driver just to slide it into the front door. Otherwise it would have been a nightmare just to get it in the door.*Its heavy! I am an older woman with physical limitations so I took my time to carry each piece up the stairs over a course of a few days.*its a bit bigger than the picture makes it seem. This was important to me since literally every inch of space is needed in the room I put the bed in. The picture makes it seem like the mattress goes right to the edge. In reality there are a few extra inches sticking out all the way around the mattress.*the finish is pretty crappy. There were already some dings and I can see where areas may peel. If you live in a humid environment it may be a big problem for you. Since it sits in the floor and is covered by the bed, any imperfections are hard to notice once the bed is made. But understand, while you’re building it you will see everything. Don’t be alarmed. But don’t expect a high quality finish at this price. I received all pieces and none had any broken edges.*Time to put together was 4-5 hours for me. That’s one person. That doesn’t include the time to read the directions, check all of the parts and other prep work. I did it on my own. I didn’t rush. And it wasn’t hard. Just time consuming. Which again, I didn’t mind due to the price. Tip- open the smaller box first. There you will find the instructions and the hardware and the first pieces to assemble. All of the pieces went together flawlessly. Every piece was cut and drilled properly.Read the manual before beginning. It won’t really make sense but get yourself familiar with it.Try to put the boards in size and alphabetical order before starting. Example- all long boards stacked up and in order, all square boards in order etc. When possible put the stamped side up so it’s easy to see. Sometimes the stamp is on the edge and other times it’s in the flat side. Just do your best. It makes it so much easier to find the part you’re looking for.Tools needed, screwdriver and a hammer. Don’t use a drill.I cannot stress this enough TAKE YOUR TIME! Like mom always said “haste makes waste”.Save the instructions. You will need them to disassemble the 3 main parts to move it.If you are putting the bed on carpet it will be challenging to rearrange your room.If you are building it on a flat surface like wood, laminate or vinyl protect the floor and the furniture with a blanket. It will scratch the floor as you are moving pieces around.I know this review is long but felt these points are important. Hope they help you.Read more

The boxes this bed came in were super heavy. We opened the boxes up on the ground floor and carried the pieces upstairs to our bedroom a few at a time. It took FOREVER to put this together. Its been about 2 weeks now and we really like it. You can get pretty freaky without loud annoying squeaks and thumps. Its pretty damn sturdy.

I looked at this bed for a very long time before finally deciding to purchase it. I really like it! It is very sturdy, and the mattress lies on it a bit more firm than it would a standard bed frame (which is great for me). I am using it with a boxspring, so it is very high up, but I like this as well. It was fairly easy to put together, though there was an issue at the end where some of the cams would not tighten and I had to have someone hold them in place (the holes were slightly off). My only complaint about the bed itself (and I did not see this prior to purchase) is there is an overhang on the top part of it. It's very slight, but it makes it a little challenging to grab the drawers. I'm not sure what the intent of the designer was, but it would be much better without that, especially given that it has such easy, accessible storage. Also, for anyone who might be thinking that they can swap out the baskets... I have yet to find other that fit well under this bed. The space is 14Wx13Dx12H, which does not fit any of the standard cubes out there (a 12x12 just seems awkward). So for this, the overhang, and the slight challenge in putting it together, it's more of a 3.5 STAR item.

We bought this bed for the guest room to give us extra storage; it was easy enough to put together. The edges of some of the pieces were lifting when we unpacked the boxes; we starting to put it together anyway as we had guest coming! Unfortunately, there were some pieces missing. The company sent more, but the pieces took a while to arrive since they shipped from Canada; the bed remained unfinished in the corner and our guest ended up on an inflatable mattress! Very disappointed with the way the bed came all together when we were done assembling it. Pieces don't match at the corners. Quality is lacking. We would not buy this bed again.

A velvet-upholstered bed is good for those with pets and can be dyed in rich colors, but high-maintenance and very expensive. A cotton-upholstered bed is abrasion-resistant and allows you to maintain a cool feeling, but not that stain-resistant and its fibers may weaken when directly exposed to sunlight. Hardwoods

Hardwood wood varieties refer to the type of tree the wood is taken from; it has nothing to do with how heavy or dense the wood is (contrary to popular belief!). Hardwood woods are sourced from trees that have leaves and lose their leaves in the winter months. Types of hardwood trees include hickory, maple, oak, birch and cherry (among others). Wood from hardwood trees is usually harder and therefore more dense, as these trees tend to grow at a slower rate. Hardwood is ideal for use in indoor furniture crafting, as it is sturdy and durable. Most hardwood varieties are bright and beautiful in their natural tone/shade, but many take well to staining, finishes and paints. If you’re looking for a way to refurbish your sleep space, purchasing an oak bed should be at the top of your to-do list! Oak is a classic, refined and traditional wood finish that is simply gorgeous. A natural oak finish is typically a warm cherry brown color; however, oak takes to staining quite well. This allows you to change up the look of your furniture to match your ever-changing style and design preferences. The simple grain patterns in oak wood are beautiful and understated; this gives you a timeless look for your bedroom that you’re sure to love for years to come. Oak is heavier than some of the other wood varieties, so assembly of any bedroom furniture is best if there are two or more people. Once properly assembled, oak furniture enhances the coziness of your bedroom and can add a rustic flair to your design motif.
