I like this bed for several reasons it is a simple design, it doesn’t need a box spring, this makes it the perfect height for my 3 year old granddaughter, and it is sturdy but yet easy to move around. It did come in a timely manner but the box inside and out was filthy. You definitely have to give it a good wipe down. One spindle has a dent but not that noticeable. The main reason I gave it a 4 star rating is because the instructions were bad. A couple of the screw packs weren’t labeled correctly and the print was very small to determine which letter you had to use.

Do not put this in your cart! Wayfair has many metal platform beds that are well made, look much nicer than this one, and cost far less. This bed is similar to the Bushwick, with the angled rise on the head and foot board, but this one is currently about US90 more and is of very poor quality. The head board is so short that a standard size pillow laying flat on a standard 8-10 inch mattress hides nearly the whole headboard, my 12 inch mattress obscures it completely. The footboard ends up lower than the mattress. It looks weird with the comforter tucked into it and draping it over - it would have been better to not have the footboard. The vertical bars on the head and foot boards are just tacked in place with one or two spot welds - the welds do not go all the way around these hollow poles. It is not pretty, and over time dirt and dust are going to accumulate in these spaces. It could even cause injury, with a finger getting pinched or damage bed linens that get caught in one of these joints. The white queen bed that I received also had scratches on most parts and this sticky orange dust all over everything. It did not just wipe off, I had to scrub to get it off. The instructions are just 4 pictures, one of which represents the majority of the build and the next is all cluttered with so many lines pointing to every part, it is unclear what goes where. Most of the metal poles that comprised the platform are just resting in the side rail holes, which are bigger than the pole, so they are loose and rattle and spin in place. Only 4 of these pole slats are bolted into the side rail so they do not move. The weight of the mattress and one 180 lb person do not prevent those floating slats, especially towards the foot of the bed, from moving, so they rattle with every movement. It is that tinny hollow aluminum kind of rattle, like out-of-tune wind chimes. The bed is also not stable - it moves and twists with minimal movement. If all of the slats were bolted, it would help square and stabilize it. It does not feel safe! There are only 8 inches clearance under the bed, so little room for under-bed storage. For all these reasons, I am disassembling it, and I am buying that Bushwick. Even though it is just for the rarely used guest room, I am not settling for a shoddy product. Full disclosure - As a member of the Tried and True program, I received this product gratis to evaluate in exchange for my candid review. Clearly, I strongly discourage you from buying this one. I hope this review helped you decide if this piece is (or is not) The One for you. Please let me know by tapping the Helpful button below. Good luck in your search for the perfect bed!

This is the second bed frame I have order from Red Barrel. After seeing that both frames are poorly engineered I would not recommend purchasing bed frames from this company. The side rail are joined together in the middle instead of the typical one piece long railing. There is no way this would hold up to an adult or teenager. This will be donated. Maybe someone will be able to add a different railing to the frame.
