I was hesitant about ordering given the mixed reviews. This dresser is perfect for what I needed it for. I bought two and placed them back to back to make an island in my walk in closet. They arrived well packaged and without any defects or damage. I will admit Initially the drawers were crooked when my husband slid them in. But once we figured the problem, All the drawers are now perfectly aligned just fine. My advice to anyone struggling with the drawers would be to adjust the gliders on the side. They have to be screwed in just right for the drawers to align. But there’s nothing wrong with the manufacturing it’s really an user error. It took Hubby 4hrs to do both dressers. The hardware included didn’t match my decor so I swapped them out for the crystal ones pictured. I’m more than pleased with my purchase.

I've always like Sauder's products. Might be because I grew up 30 miles from the factory. This thing is heavy heavy heavy! Please have someone around to help you move the box. There are a lot of pieces and a lot of screws and other hardware parts. That being said, the instructions are easy to follow and it is simple to put together. Now I am somewhat of a perfectionist when it comes to assembling flat pack furniture, so I do take my time and line everything up. This becomes especially important when you are assembling drawers. Sauders has a pretty nifty system for leveling the drawers and it does work...but only if you put the effort into it. I do recommend assembling the main dresser in the room you want it.The dresser is a good size. Actually perfect for where I wanted to put it. The drawers are a good size also and I've been able to fit a lot of clothing into it.All in all I love it.

Oh man... where to begin. I'm quickly becoming a non-fan of Sauder and will be running away fast when I see that name in the future.First off, be prepared for a "team lift". The FedEx driver was a small woman and simply couldn't lift 140lbs that this thing is. I barely could either. That's a lot of weight for "manufactured wood". What is that? MDF and chip-board, baby. Instructions on Sauders products are very odd. If you've put together anything from Ikea or Target, you realize that there's a logical step-to-step approach, much like my kid's Legos. This has you doing things in what seems like it's out of order. You get there, but it's a little confusing (yeah... compared to Ikea, figure that?).The drawer construction of Sauder.... I HATE it. I mean I really __HATE__ it. They did include a chipboard center support under each drawer, but these things feel cheap and flimsy. The drawer pulls are a "patent pending" design - good luck with that. You can keep your patent on your drawer pulls - they're horrible! At leas the desk I bought from these guys had ball bearings. This thing has slides and due to the poor drawer design, unless you get the alignment just so, the drawers can stick - to the point where I had to completely disassemble a drawer from inside the unit to break it down to pieces I could then rip out of the main dresser. Much swearing ensued that little adventure. The hardware is super cheap and the finish is a "paper" applied to the MDF to give the appearance of wood or paint. This stuff will not stand up to an errant ding or scrape. Getting the drawers aligned without uneven gaps between the drawers took a lot of slide rail adjustment. As far as DIY furniture goes, Walmart stuff is on the bottom, followed by Target stuff (at least they use solid wood), then Ikea, and then you're into "real furniture land". This thing rates just ever so slightly above Walmart. But not much.Read more

Do you have a spare mechanical engineering degree and 70 hours of spare time? If so this is the dresser for you. Every tiny little piece of wood is separate. The assembly took an eternity. I missed my child's birth and subsequent wedding as I aged slowly screwdriver in hand. Setting up house on an extremely small budget I ordered 9 different amazon pieces of furniture. All of them sit happily assembled but this one. I have 4 out of 6 functional drawers. Pure spite is almost enough to make me begin disassembly in an attempt to return it. Hand cramps will win out and I will keep it. It will serve as a reminder to my inadequacy. If you are one of those people that easily build furniture this may be doable and looks nice. I am an advanced IKEA survivor but was toppled by this. The rest of us are far better off hitting Craigslist for an ugly old dresser even if we have to push it across town on foot. The furniture I order from Coaster looked nicer and was much more logical to assembly. Save yourself, it is too late for me.

Took me 4 hours to almost complete it before I gave up. Drawers didn't fit, instruction were horrible, quality sucks. Finally just tore it apart and sent it back. I offered to put it in trash for amazon, but they credited me $10 to go buy a box from Home Depot and dump the garbage to return. I should have believed the reviews. I have years of experience as an engineer, but this, without table saws, grinders, levels, or a complete lack of caring, this is a total waste of time. 5 hours of my life I will never get back. Do yourself a favor, buy it, then return it once it arrives, don't open the box....
