This fits securely all my collectable high value DVD-Audio, Sacd and Blu-Ray disc's along with the SteelBooks I've started collecting (see photos). Unit has good options for shelving, I will have my big box sets on the bottom even my Breaking Bad barrel.Easy to build and is a great product, no issue's with any bagged parts or wood pieces. Not worried about a little sawdust like some of the complainers are whining about, you have to expect some with over 300 holes drilled. Most of them are for shelf position's, and difficult to get it out in a manufacturing environment where dust is prominent.Know that the locking doors will slow someone down from stealing but not a prevention, after all is said and done it's a Quality Media Storage unit with minimal security for your collection. I rate it 5 Stars for versatility, 5 Stars for easy build and go with 4 for security. Overall 5 Stars.......

To start with, over half the parts had some form of damage. Either deep scaring of the surface or, in the case of the shelves, crushed or broken edges. A heavy black permanent marking pen is your friend.Well that and the ability to read minds, as the instructions only give you a rough idea of how things go together. You'll need to pay close attention to which pieces face forward as none of them are marked in any way.Next, the slide bolt (used to secure the unlocked side of the cabinet) will need to be shimmed to reach the pre-drilled hole it is designed to latch into. Once in place you will need to keep a small center portion of the top shelf clear so you can close the door and operate the latch without hitting the media.I will say it is a very sturdy piece of furniture and quite stable once assembled, though the storage is rather specific. For example you are offered a top shelf adjustment for either CD or DVD. Be forewarned that choosing DVD just means you'll be putting CDs of some other shelf as there is not room to have the unit hold only DVDs. This is true for the entire storage unit so unless you also have CDs, the cabinet will have lots of dead space or you'll lay things on their sides. As a side note. I ordered two of these and both had major damage to the black surfaces and edges so it was not an isolated incident in my opinion. It is for this reason that I personally will not buy from Prepac again, but neither am I returning the cabinets as once together and the damage covered, they worked quite well for their intended purpose.~DorianRead more

There was another review that summed this up perfectly, but here are my 3 issues.1. The left door with the bolt latch is nearly impossible to close with a full cabinet, and the right side key lock is very flimsy so the doors won't stay closed.2. The way the cabinet is designed makes it impossible to use all the shelves properly whether you're filling it with blurays or dvds. The placement of the camlocks in the doors forces you to position the shelves so low the bottom shelf space is to small to stand anything up in. Also, if you have dvd box sets with slip cases, you have to lower the main section shelves so you can't use that bottom space for anything either.3. Going back to the dvd box sets, if you have them in the door shelves, the doors won't close all the way anyways making the flimsy door locks a moot point. I'm going to have to buy cabinet cable locks just to close the doors.

My issues with this are as follows:1. 1 side has a cheap slide bolt that is nearly impossible to close because the hole for the bolt is so small and hard to find.2. 1 side has a cheap lock which if you truly wanted to keep someone out of the cabinet could be easily opened without the need for the key because it just slides into a little groove in the top of the cabinet.3. The doors won't stay completely closed UNLESS you lock the cabinet.4. The angle the doors swing open at forces you to find much more space than you likely would like along the sides of the cabinet so you can just open the doors.5. LOTS of wasted space. You can't close and lock the left door unless you leave space in between the blu rays and the door's locking mechanism. The left and right cabinet space won't allow you to move the top shelf down because they have a screw taking up the space where the shelf support would go. This means instead of a bunch of an extra row of blu ray shelving you end up with 2 blu ray shelves, 1 DVD shelf, and 1 space that is basically for CD's.I'm very unhappy with this purchase. The cabinet is of super cheap material and while it fits all the blu rays I wanted it the other issues just makes me agitated. It's more difficult to open and close the cabinet than it's worth to store the movies and games I bought it for.Read more
