Awesome modern entertainment center! It was the only one that I could find on the market that has the potential to hide all of uour wires when you have several compoents hooked up to your TV. The hidden shelf that stores your power strip is what make this cabinet so brilliant along with the perfect cutouts to run your cables. The setup I have pictured has a cable box, a 5.1 surround system, and a fire tv all hooked up to it. We also mounted the subwoofer to the bottom self with some "z clips" to float everything off of the ground.The only con that I can think of is that you have to have some slight carpentry skills to find your wall studs and level it correctly. The rest is simple furniture assembly.

I purchased this to mount on my wall under my 48" TV that was already on a swivel mount. I had a two year old running around and a four month old to keep happy while I was assembling this. Mind you I am NOT very assembly savvy whatsoever, but I did it all by myself! It took me less than an hour to assemble and put the first piece on the wall. Had to have help lifting it to mount on the wall but it was a breeze! I was nervous ordering something this large on line without seeing it in person before, but this unit is awesome! I love the three compartments and the hidden cord storage in the back. It even came with a touch up marker to fix any spots that you nick while assembling. Great buy!

I initially purchased this 48" Prepac and liked it so much that I bought the 58" model for our family room (see review of the 58" Prepac TV Console). As is with the Prepac 58" console, instructions with this are incredibly easy to follow, and the pictures are meticulous to ensure the proper parts are connected correctly. The TV in this picture is a 50" Smart TV; the combination of this with the floating console is more than aesthetically pleasing. It gives angels wings. The chic modern appearance of what I assume to be cherrhogany (yes, cherrywood decided to engage in coital activity with mahogany to promote the essence of premarital progeny) provides what AMPM would remotely define as 'too much good stuff.' If you're placing the mount over electrical/cable outlets, measure it correctly (the instructions give you exact measurements/recommendations for placement) so that the plastic coverings on the outlets (roughly 1/4" projecting from the wall) lie within the back of the unit. I ended up removing the outlet coverings to bypass repositioning the frame with the 58" model, but this one did not require removing them.I'd recommend taking the time to bundle the cables from your electronic devices in the back neatly instead of trying to move them out of the way while mounting the console. Additionally, I'd highly recommend a power drill when mounting the Wall Stabilizer. Find the right phillips bit head and it should go in pretty easily. The instructions recommend mounting the wall stabilizer 20 3/4" above floor level, with the total height of the mount to be 28" off the ground. I was a little leery about this being made out of particle board, but it was actually pretty sturdy. There were no damages in shipping. The instructions were laid out nicely. I only wish it would have been about 4 inches longer to hit 4 studs instead of 3 studs, but that didn't hinder the sturdiness any., and it gives you some wiggle room to position on the wall exactly where you want it. We mounted it so the bottom was about two inches above the outlets, and this made it more of a desk height. I wanted it to be lower to the floor, but it's fine. It's very heavy, though. We reinforced the two wall boards with extra screws (just in case). I even wanted to add washers to the screws, but my husband reassured me it would be fine. So far, so good.

We just got a new 60" TV that I wall mounted, I first tried the Mount-IT three tier glass shelves but the center of our TV (where you mount them) was only dry wall. We used the anchors as per the directions but after seeing the wall flexing and having one of the screw type anchors start to come lose I took it down immediately and started looking for a new entertainment center. My wife and I really wanted the floating look to go with the TV since the wires are ran down through the wall but wanted something that mounted to studs.Install: we have 24" studs where the TV is mounted, the wall mount is mounted off center and the TV sits on it to the right a bit for where we wanted it on the wall so we were only able to span two Studs. For the support brace one 5/16 lag is 7" from the left hand side and one 24" from that, this left 15" on the right unsecured. While I was comfortable the two studs would hold the weight I used a 3/16 toggle a few inches from the right side just to keep it tight to the wall and for peace of mind. I mounted a powerstrip to the inside compartment wall with two short self tapping wood screws and really took my time on the wiring routing (we crammed a lot of equipment into this thing). We have it mounted on the wall so the back compartment covers the wall outlet, cable outlet, and outlet for the TV wires. While it is lower than some of the user pictures on here having it completely cover all wires from every angle it really gives a true "floating theater" feel to the room.For the one reviewer who gave this a one star rating because they had to remove the unit each time they had to unplug something, in reality how often is that? I can reach the powerstrip switch from the bottom access hole. If you are worried about having to remove it frequently and still want the primary unit mounted to the wall here is what I did. Use a 3/8-16 x 4" Coarse/Standard Steel Plain Hanger Bolt from Home Depot which screws into the stud and leaves a threaded tip for a nut/washer. You will need to use a dremmel tool or similar to cut out an oval shape in the back to allow the up/down sliding motion needed to remove it over the lip of the support bracket but it works perfect, a few quick turns with a socket and the nut comes off, lift 1/2" and pull it out. Simple. Sure, it takes some extra work and maybe they could incorporate such a feature in the future but that is no reason to rate this outstanding entertainment center a one star.My only con is the lack of hardware included. Sure this gives you the flexibility to mount it to your application as you see fit, but lets face it, a lot of people are that that 'handy'. They really should include a kit for installation, even if just a basic one. Heck, any wall mount TV bracket comes with all the hardware you would ever needed for any type of installation.
