I'm very handy and had done drywall work in the past, and with my new apartment complex giving the green light to run wires in the wall I immediately set out to find a code-spec solution. I can do romex, but didn't want to modify existing infrastructure (IE undoing an outlet to run another drop from it). Additionally, I wanted the ability to place my TV behind a battery backup with the rest of my equipment which would not be possible with a romex installation.PowerBridge seemed to be the best solution, and now that it is installed - I'm quite satisfied.I'm fairly convinced that even your less-handy homeowner could accomplish a power bridge install after watching a few videos and doing some research. It even comes with a template for your cuts, just mark around the edges and stick as close to it with your drywall saw as you can.In my installation, I had to make a pumpkin cut half way and drill through a cross bracing (It was *not* a fire block) to complete my install, which would be a little advanced for your average DIY to do as patching a pumpkin cut can be a bit tricky to get it done right. For the first time I'm able to have 0 visible cables running to my wall mounted TV, and safe in the knowledge that the power drop is to code. The ability to disconnect the TV at the bottom is pretty handy - thus the aforementioned battery backup installation.Installation is really dead simple, just remember to not over tighten the flanges that hold them in place, they are plastic.Read more

I was originally happy with this purchase because it accomplished what it was designed to do just like everyone else said it would, but my issue was after the initial install.I took my time and installed it and had zero issues, my issues came up after the install. I decided to upgrade my HDMI cables and finally run a cable for the antenna about 6 months after I had originally installed it, but that's when the issues started and others have had the exact same issue.I removed the bottom box and I noticed that the clips were broken and would not properly hold the box in place anymore. I tried gluing them back together, but that failed so after a few curse words and a couple of beers I had my son drive me to Lowes to see what I can use to fix it and I found two different gang boxes that use the same stile clips so I bought both. One had orange plastic clips and the other had metal ones. I tried the orange one's first, but found the screw hole to tight and figured they might break again further down the line. Then I tried the metal ones from the blue gang box and those fit perfect and I stalled them on both top and bottom and was able to hold a tighter seal against the wall then the original one's. Fix only cost me $3.19 from Lowes (Model #E-18-4-DVR).Read more

I can't begin to say how glad I am that I found this. I looked for weeks for something until I stumbled on this and was surprised by the price ($54ish at purchase) considering the best option I found before it was in the $70's. Overall, it's a great value and I was pleased with how easy it was to install. While the plastic does feel a little weak, if you are patient and do things carefully, it's fine. You honestly would have to be violent to break it. The brushes will slide out if you don't put a small piece of painters or electrical tape over the ends but this wasn't a big deal.Despite what others have said, I crammed about 6 cables through both plates, the last 1 or 2 were difficult but I was able to make it work. This includes 4 HDMI, 1 CAT6e, 1 Optical, and 1 Xbox Kinect cord. I read one review that said you can't fit cords with the bulky thing near the connection but I fit the Kinect cord through and the thing on that connector is massive...seriously. You just have to work it through the plate and be patient.Reasons for 4 instead of 5 stars:-Plastic feels a little weak, but that's usually the case with plates like these-Paint on heads of screws comes off while screwing the plates to the wall-Kit should come with wider base plate to match wider opening in top plate-As other reviewers have stated, I don't think you should be able to unscrew the notch so far the thing falls off into the wall-As other reviewers have stated, the brushes will slide out during install so I recommend adding a small piece of painters or electrical tape to cover the opening on the sidesRead more

Buyer beware. Does NOT work with latest Samsung power cords (9000 series UHD/4K TVs).

Update: after finding the manufacturer website and reaching out via email regarding broken windtabs, they told me to buy replacements. They will not warranty or stand behind their broken products. I would say look elsewhere! After having to later add an hdmi cable and audio cables, the cheap plastic that hold the plug into the wall has broke. So now my plug hangs there. So with that being said you better get all your cables in at one time because this is a one time shot! You go back later and you’ll break it unfortunatelyIt took a lot longer than 1/2 hour like it says, second we got the bottom to go in fine but the top was wider (the back that goes in the wall) and wouldn’t go all the way into the wall! Then we lost the little flip up tab IN THE WALL! Ok so needless to say my husband was NOT happy with me at all for not only purchasing this but the fact he had to install it. Then on top of that, he made fun of the big bulky power supply that bridges the power to the box. He said that looked just as stupid as having a wire run down your wall...so finally found the plastic piece in the wall using a shop vac, got it installed, but I would have returned it had I not already had giant holes in my wall! 1 Star for being in big trouble with my husband!Read more

Cable Management

Electric devices play a crucial role in brightening the living room and breaking boredom. A cable management feature on a tv stand will ensure neatness while offering safety. All devices must use electricity and cables running everywhere, which can pose a significant risk for any member of the house. With a cable management feature installed on a tv stand, you rest assured of safety and elegance. Stands without proper cable management usually look shaggy, and in case you have toddlers around, you never know when the can will be changed to 'meal' as they don't choose what goes in the mouth. Managing cables or wires helps to maintain essential functions and also protect the devices from the clogged airflow due to messy and disordered wires. Tangled-up lines may make it hard for anyone cleaning the tv stand. The cable management feature is therefore essential to create a visually pleasing and clean work environment.
