This bed is exactly as pictured, Very nice bed for the guest room. Nice finish and does not take up too much space. Took me a little time to assemble but not really too bad!

Beautiful bed, but did not realize the parts that look like tree branches were plastic. I went back and re-read the description and did not see that listed anywhere. You can’t tell from across the room, but up close it doesn’t look very nice.

I did not like that the inlay was carved plastic and not wood.

This bed was a little disappointing. It arrived as scheduled, no issues there. However the construction isn't quite what we expected - the carved portion of the headboard appeared to be wood in the photos, and is I think a wood-type manufactured material based on the info I see, however is is somewhat smooth and shiny-ish and looks more like heavy duty plastic. As we had guests coming in a couple days and didn't have time to send it back for another option my husband talked me into being ok with that aspect of the bed. The instructions say to assemble the bed using two people and that would certainly have been easier, but I was able to do it myself while my husband was at work, which was convenient. However when putting it together I found that 4 necessary pieces of hardware were missing. Without time prior to our guests arriving to order more from the company, I went searching for the same type of screw/bolt dual piece that I needed. Neither my local neighborhood hardware store nor two different Home Depots had the right piece. I was able to out together something similar enough to make it work, but it was a hassle. In addition, several of the pre-drilled holes where you insert bolt and such to put it together were not drilled deep/wide enough, and without owning the right kind of tool I had to improvise and manually carve those out with a flat-head screwdriver to make them bigger. Not difficult to do, just annoying and time-consuming. The instructions also do not say that you need power tools, but I recommend having a power screwdriver (fortunately I do) if you plan to screw the slats to the frame with the screws provided for this purpose - it would have taken literally hours and lots of blisters to do this with a standard non-power screwdriver. Lastly, if you look closely at the photos of the headboard, you will not see any screw holes, even if you zoom in. However in real life, there are two places on the front of the headboard where the screen heads show and the provided wood buttons to cover other screw holes are too large for these ones, so it leaves it looking a little unfinished. There should be buttons to cover those holes provided, or the screw heads should be on the back of the headboard as most people place their beds flush against a wall where you wouldn't see them. Just a poorly thought-out design element. And no, I did not put it on backwards - with the way the side rails attach there is no possible way the headboard would go on the other way (and yes, I tried just to see). In the end, other than the two exposed screw heads, and the slightly cheap-looking headboard material, it is a nice looking bed and with a good mattress it turns out to be quite comfortable. I wouldn't say don't order it, just be prepared for what you're getting and be ready for some potential hassles when putting it together. For the record, all these same issues would have been present had I waited for my husband to help me with it - it's awkward assembling it solo, but that's not where I ran into headaches, it was with the manufacturing and design issues.
