This stand is excellent. I wanted a tv stand with a built-in mount because I had a very large Martin Logan center channel speaker which doesn't fit on many regular tv stands (especially when considering proper height of the center channel). Also a floating TV just looks much better than one with a regular manufacturer stand. This stand is perfect for my setup. It held my 50" Panasonic plasma, my Martin Logan center channel, my marantz receiver, PS4 pro and Xbox one S with room to spare! My stand came packaged OK. They honestly could do a better job with it (Double-boxed & better internal support would be nice), but luckily nothing was damaged. Setup was a breeze. The setup diagram isn't great, but it's easy to follow and I never got stuck. I put the stand together myself in 20 minutes. The tempered glass shelves are very strong as is the stand itself. The plasma I had was actually very heavy for its size and there was no issues with stability. The arms of the actual mount provide for a lot of variation and allow the entire mounting process to be very user-friendly. You simply attach the arms to the back of your tv and align for desired height. Once you have your height down, screw in the proper bolts to your tv (don't forget washers/spacers too!). Then you align the top of each arm to the mount first (there is a hook that grabs onto the mount-see picture) and gently rest the tv on the mount. You can also align the tv so it is properly centered without any worries of damaging your tv because the stand/arms are very stable. Once you have your tv where you want it, the bottom of the mounting arms have a bolt you screw upward into the mounting plate itself (see picture), securing the tv to the stand. This bolt prevents the bottom of the tv from lifting off the mount and also prevents horizontal movement.Sadly there is no cable management whatsoever. I hate exposed cables. My solution was to run any power/hdmi cables from the tv through the holes on the mounting bracket and along the rear of the vertical pole. Then I used packaging tape to keep the cables (on the vertical pole) in place. I'm sure there are more sophisticated ways of doing it, but this was free and took seconds.UPDATE: I originally had a 50" plasma, but recently upgraded to a 65" Samsung (65KS8000) 4k TV and I am happy to announce this stand accommodates it...barely. The mounting arms are just long enough to fit the mounting holes on the rear of the tv. This is great but it also prevents any height variation for this particular tv due to it's size. This results in the TV being slightly higher than I wanted but it's better than having to buy another stand. The stand holds the weight of the 65" tv without any issues (it's actually only a few pounds heavier than my previous plasma). The 65" tv does stick out past the stand on the sides though, so be aware of that if you have kids and if there is any potential playroom around/behind the tv.Overall I would recommend this stand to anyone!Read more

This is the 2nd time I purchased this tv stand. I have 1 in my bedroom that’s holding a 65” Vizio and the 1 I just purchased last month is holding my 65” Samsung smart tv without issue. I will say this, if the back of your tv has any type of roundness/curve the tv won’t fit with the hooked arms. I realized this after I assembled the stand. No matter I did strap my tv to the mount using the hooked arms. It’s still standing on its feet but, the tv is safe and does not move. The stand is back heavy which is a major plus. Personally the design for me is classy the shape of the shelves makes it somewhat more universal than others I’ve looked at. If you like black frosted/glazed tempered glass this one would be perfect. When assembled tightly you have nothing to worry about. PLEASE MAKE SURE ITS TIGHTLY ASSEMBLED the swivel pole and mount can only do so much. I say meet it half way. Enjoy!

The only thing this unit has going for it is price, and that should have been clue #1. The description says this will hold up to a 70" TV up to 88 lbs. Now, I confess, I did not put the 65" Visio on the scales first, but once atop the largely unsupported mast, this entire unit becomes extremely unbalanced and wobbly. There is so much flex I am shocked that the tempered glass shelves, sandwiched in between the 3 piece column, haven't exploded under the stress. And the column, the "sturdy" steel column, is held piece to piece by a single 1/4" x 1 and 3/4" piece of double end threaded mild steel dowl (all-thread) that has no shouldered area to stop it being screwed into the welded-in (captive) nut until it simply drops inside the hollow interior of the column. Why is this important? Because, once you install the dowl into one end of the pipe, lay the glass shelf in, and begin screwing on the next piece of the column, you really have no idea if you are screwing the column onto the pin and thereby catching an adequate number of threads, or whether you might have caught maybe two or three threads and then begun screwing the dowl further into the other part of the column. Additionally, once fully assembled, I was left with a 1/2" gap between the shelf and the top of the column piece below it for some reason, which led to a game of unscrewing and re-tightening the pieces in an ultimately futile attempt at eliminating the gap. Although, I did manage to reduce it enough to eliminate the visible deflection of the glass top as the upper piece of column was tightened against it. It would have been trivial to supply a proper pin with proper dimensions and a shoulder that would allow the coulumn pieces to be tightened to the proper tolerances with the assurance both ends of the connecting pin have a proper amount of thread engaged. Also in the description, it says "The main back column has a cable management system to keep the cables concealed and organized.". This is completely false. There is no cable management integrated or otherwise. Finally, the lack of any height or tilt adjustment aside, the entire weight of your $1,000.00+ t.v. Is resting on a single - maybe - 1/4" Allen head cap screw at the top. Frankly, I wouldn't trust this thing with my 24" computer monitor. Highly recommend against this unit if you are in an even minority seismically active area. Not sure this would even survive a 1.0.Read more

Cable Management

Electric devices play a crucial role in brightening the living room and breaking boredom. A cable management feature on a tv stand will ensure neatness while offering safety. All devices must use electricity and cables running everywhere, which can pose a significant risk for any member of the house. With a cable management feature installed on a tv stand, you rest assured of safety and elegance. Stands without proper cable management usually look shaggy, and in case you have toddlers around, you never know when the can will be changed to 'meal' as they don't choose what goes in the mouth. Managing cables or wires helps to maintain essential functions and also protect the devices from the clogged airflow due to messy and disordered wires.
