I bought this stand to use in my audio system without knowing quality of the stand because there is no reviews for this Monolith XL stand here on Amazon. To my surprise, it was the best decision I've ever made in 25 years of being an audiophile.First of all, don't let the $150 price fool you because price to performance is better than many other stands I had (Bello/Salamander) and some others I tried, this Monolith XL stand is most stable and strong audio stand money can buy for under $5-600 or even more because I was never satisfied all the stands I have/had one way or another.I have nothing to complain about this XL stand, good quality finish with more than reasonable price, very stable, great weight handling(my equipment total weight is nearly 90 lbs) everything is great, easy to assemble and perfect height for my turntable and reinforce shelf to put my amp (53 lbs) I may be buying another one in lighter color to use with different system. I'm a Happy Audiophile, great buy.

Picked this thing up as a temporary rack to hold my hi-fi gear as I finish our basement and design / build my system. I've been auditioning a number of components and was pretty convinced I'd have to build my own TV / media cabinet to hold my gear. After putting my stuff on this rack, it looks amazing and the rack is very sturdy. I have my amplifiers down low, then CD transport, then DAC / Streaming and phono preamp, and my turntable on top. It's quite handsome for $150. So much so that I might order another one and just use two of these in place of a cabinet for my equipment. I am very pleased with the quality of this rack and would highly recommend it to fellow audiophiles. It's certainly not the same as 2" solid maple with sand filled legs or some of the $2-5k racks, but it does exactly what it needs to do.

Very solid build quality. Nice color. Spacious design..excepting for the supporting bar between the bottom rack and the middle one, limits the width of equipment you can place. Just shy of 19'' - so had to place the amp on the top rack , not a big deal but wish it was a tad wider.

Easy assembly although there appears to be in an error in Step 4 of the instructions. Instructions states part G4 used 4x however, the parts list shows item G as a quantity of 2. That minor quibble aside, this stand is a very good value for the price paid.

Easy to assemble. This is VERY heavy, delivery guy dragged it to our door, box was super beat up, but amazingly the shelves had no damage.

Not hard to put together (about 25 min).Had slight bend in one tube that I was able to fix. Very solid and stable. Has levelers and vinyl feet to prevent scuffing.

Black

A black finish on your tv stand is one of the best options for a tv stand. Black establishes an eye-catching relationship between the rest of the living room decor and your tv stand. It also makes the furniture complement each other. The black finish will most likely blend in with the rest of your decor and walls unless you choose a different option. The tv stand itself won’t stand out, but you can use elements around it that do. For example, white flower vases are a great bet. The exact role can be taken on by the area rug or the lighting in the room. Each black tv finish stand has its own set of properties, which allow it to stand out in various ways and to interact with the surrounding space in its path. However, the black finish will easily show dust hence making you clean more. This finish does not take scratches and dents well, therefore expensive to maintain.

Medium Density Fiberboard

Medium density fiberboard, or MDF, is a manufactured wood product that is made of broken-down hardwood or softwood fibers and a resin adhesive. A tv stand made of medium density fiberboard is very strong and durable. The surface of a medium density fiberboard tv stand is very smooth and conducive to painting; making MDF tv stands a great choice for people who enjoy DIY or home renovation projects. Medium density fiberboard tv stands can be quite heavy (and rival the weight of solid wood tv stands!), so it’s best to get two or more people to move and position it. The natural color of MDF tv stands is a brown/red color, but you can always paint or stain the surface to suit your style tastes and preferences. A medium density fiberboard tv stand will be stronger and more dense than particle board, and tends to be less expensive too. Overall, an MDF tv stand would make a great choice for your home living space.

Metal

Wondering which best tv material for your tv stands? Worry no more. For a tv stand that is contemporary and modern, metal is the way to go. Metal produces rudimentary designs that are attractive and elegant. The tv stand made from this material is sturdy and will serve you for decades. Metal is easy to maintain. Metal can easily be curved into different shapes that make it easy to work with. Depending on your choice, metal, when furnished with paint, your tv stand will be attractive. This material, when used on tv stand it is shinny, and the edges can be seen. Metal being ductile makes tv stands look fantastic. Metals stands can also be blended with wood to make final tv products. Even though metal can rust, special alloys are applied to reduce or evade rust. Metal materials are readily available and easy to work with.

Steel

A tv stand made of steel is sleek, modern, and extremely durable. Steel is an incredibly strong and long-lasting material that is often used in furniture making and appliances because of the unmatched strength and resilience of the material. A steel tv stand is a perfect choice to enhance a modern-contemporary or industrial home décor motif; oftentimes, steel tv stands have unique, distinctive lines that lend well to a modern aesthetic. A steel tv stand may not be the best choice for homes with small children, as sharp corners or edges may pose a danger; in addition, a steel tv stand may show fingerprints or dirt easily; however, you should be able to clean it easily using a microfiber cloth. A steel tv stand is the perfect way to enhance the modern, sleek, and sophisticated look and feel of your home living space.
