We needed to upgrade to a closed cabinet TV stand for baby proofing and this one does a pretty good job. Lots of space to fit a good number of components. It fits our 5-disc CD player well. And we love having some leftover space to keep the remotes and a few other items concealed. The doors do not have any locking mechanisms, so we will have to install cabinet magnets tomorrow. Also, the color of it is a dark cherry - not light as it is shown in the picture. And there are openings between the support beams wires and extra airflow.

The doors are very tricky to install. Possibly we'll have to use a table saw to cut them down a bit and repaint the black so they close properly. Other than that, it's great.

The only thing we were disappointed in was we thought there were 3 shelves in this stand as the door fronts shoe 3 divisions. So very disappointed to find only 1 shelf! We did fix this and go out and buy a piece of wood and cut it to fit the unit. Then in stead of finishing it (still an option later) we put wood grain shelfing paper on it. First a 4 inch wide strip over the front edge and then a long piece over the top to that edge for the top. The shelving paper was just about 1 inch to wide to with a exactor knife cut it and the slots on the shelf that fit it into the unit. Didn't bother to put the wood grain shelving paper on the bottom on the shelf as we put that shelf on the bottom and you can't see that side of it. So an easy solution is you have someone who knows how to cut wood and the tools.

The stand is pretty easy to assemble, however, the shevling inside is one large adjustable shelf, NOT 3 individual shelves, The width for each opening is 18". so be carfeful if you have large components to put inside. We had to swap one component from our family room set-up. But we got it to work and it looks ok for a less expensive route.
