This bed is everything I expected & even prettier than I imagined. the grey looks lighter in person than did in pictures online. Which is a plus in my book, I was worried it'd be too dark.It took me (35 yo pregnant f), my sister (38 yo f), & my nephew (17 yo m) 5 hours to put this together. My sister is a pro at building furniture with instructions & I'm pretty good. Nephew was there for muscle & to help.Note, 2 of the 3 boxes were 89lbs, & another was 40-ish. I had a difficult time bringing them inside my apartment, but I'm 6.5 months pregnant. The majority of building you just need an allen wrench, which is included. Now, we also had 2 additional allen wrenches we had to "speed up" the building process... still took 5 hours, which does not include 30 minute break for lunch. You will need a drill for connecting the wood slats once the frame is in place. And also for the brackets on the trundle. Also, the trundle should only be pulled out from the bottom, the top of the frame is the only thing on this whole bed that is not very sturdy. I am actually planning to install some drawer handles at the base of the trundle so that people pull from the handles & are not tempted to pull from the top of the frame & risk breaking it.Part of the delay in the building process was 2 parts being mislabeled...took us at least an hour, after we moved on to build other sections to figure out why pieces weren't lining up, they were labeled wrong. This was parts A & B. Which is 2 of the posts of the full size/ bottom bunk. As soon as we encountered the issue, I tried calling customer service, could not get through. So I emailed them right away, photos included. Anyway, after building the top bunk separately, we revisited the bottom, really brainstorming, we figured that the pieces were mislabeled (not something we expected), anyway, after we swapped those 2 posts the rest was fairly straightforward.I personally found the stairs to be the most difficult to put together. we had put a few pieces together (difficult to see from instructions) & had to take apart & turn those pieces. Not a huge deal, but kind of annoying after 4 hours of putting it together. After it was together it's obviously beautiful. I'm very pleased with the purchase. We put this together on a Saturday. Busy weekend, didn't think about letting Customer Service know that we figured it out (a bit mentally braindead after 5 hours of building). Customer Service sent me a response on Monday saying how sorry they were about the parts being wrong (they didn't yet know that it was because they were mislabeled), they shipped out a whole new box with those parts, didn't even have to send them my address, nothing. I was & still am thoroughly impressed.I did let them know that we figured everything out, & I'll be reaching out to them to return these pieces. I just think it's worth noting, if you're skeptical to buy a bed on Amazon, as I was, no need, phenomenal Customer Service!Read more

The bed was really easy to put together and my kids love it. The extra storage with the step book shelves is great. The steps are pretty steep but my daughter got used to it right away. Very happy with the bed and love the stairs instead of a ladder!

Took a few days to put this together in the evenings by myself but very sturdy once all assembled. Instructions decent only a few areas I had to think about and review but pretty straight forward. It is very easy to scratch as with any covered wood/particle board, it's mixed BTW. But for the price and what I got, I am very pleased. Biggest issue was attaching the stairs and top bunk as it was a struggle solo to aline it and screw it in but hard not impossible, my 9 year old assisted with holding top bunk part.

The top bunk has a piece that supports the weight and that feels super flimsy !MyKids are 7 top bunk and almost 2 bottom and I'mAfraid to have her go on top because it looks like if she tosses and turns few times it will break !

The bed looks nice overall. But there are multiple areas that were found damaged when unboxing the parts. The bunk bed is not very sturdy. When my 55 lb 6 year old is on the top bunk, I get nervous that the boards are not doing to hold the weight and the bunk bed moves a lot. Also, the wheels on the trundle did not last long before separating from the wood. This was the first time I have ordered a bed online. Next time, I'll go back to purchasing from a furniture store so I can see and feel the quality.

Clear

When trying to decide the best paint color for your bedroom, it can be really difficult trying to envision how a certain color will work with the bedroom’s lighting and furniture. However with a clear bed you are assured that it will bring the best no matter what color you chose for your bedroom walls and furniture. A clear bed brings about tranquility into your bedroom, creating the perfect relaxing space after a long day at work. A clear bed may not be common in many households but it’s the new trend especially with the younger generation who are more into creating a bedroom environment that perfectly fits into their mood. When designing your bedroom interior décor and you have chosen to go with a clear bed you can let your creativity run wild since the clear bed will blend seamlessly no matter what color you opt for.

Gray

Gray as a color can be somehow depressing and uninspiring especially in a darker bedroom, and as you already know sleeping in a gray bedroom is not as satisfying as sleeping in a brighter bedroom. Gray might not be as inviting as other colors but that doesn’t mean that a Gray bed is not a good choice for your bedroom. All you need to know before choosing a gray bed or any other no so bright colored bed is which bedroom décor is the best for that specific bed color. With a gray bed it can be really advantageous especially if you have an all-white bedroom since it will tone down the general look for your bedroom, creating some form of contrast. In case you have a bright bedroom and you wish to tone down I would definitely recommend for you a gray bed to help tone down your bedroom décor.

Drawers

A cluttered bedroom is not pleasing and relaxing at all. Sometimes, though your things are well-organized, seeing them still makes your space crowded. Two options are available: throw away your stuff or upgrade your regular bed into a drawer or storage bed. For sure, you will choose the latter, right?

Space-saving and multifunctional, drawer beds can make you feel like you don't need shelves and cabinets anymore. They come with 2 drawers, 4 drawers, 2 full and 2 half drawers, or end drawers built in the bed frame. Full ottoman and half ottoman are also available, where the entire bed offers hidden storage space. Drawer beds can also benefit your stuff since they are hidden, they won't accumulate dust. Finding them can also be easy for you because you have just one place to look at. After all, a tidy room can make your sleep better and more comfortable. And, yes, there's no such thing as too much storage.

Storage Included

When your bedroom space is small storage can be the biggest challenge you will encounter. Your closet could be a solution but not big enough to pack so many clothes. Well, you may want to buy a bigger cabinet, but you don’t want to pack so many dressers and cabinets into your space that it feels clunky and crowded. Storage beds are a fantastic way to get more space without adding extra furniture, and a lot of them are so stylishly designed you almost don’t notice the drawers are there. This bed design offers a great way to make the most of the space in your room, giving you a place to stash clothes, bedding, and more inside or beneath your bed frame. The best storage beds feature spacious compartments that are easy to access, and with tons of styles to choose from. The most common options are shelves built into the headboard or drawers built into the frame below the mattress. Depending on the reason you want space, a storage bed provides easy access, but if you're storing items that you don't need to get to very often, you can opt for a spacious platform beneath the bed that can be accessed when you lift the mattress. Ultimately, your choice will come down to what's most convenient for you.

Without combining materials, you get a clean and uniform looking bed that will match any bedroom. The single-material is recommended if you’re after a bed for a minimalist setting, something that looks very simple and neutral - then you’re going to be satisfied by the single-material bed. Pine is a shock-resistant wood that is strong and long-lasting and is well-suited for crafting ornate and intricate details; this only adds more beauty to your home! Pine wood is lighter in color with an almost creamy white appearance; it is beautiful in both its natural state or finished with a stain. Pine wood is also lighter in weight than some other wood varieties, making assembly of bed frames relatively simple and quick. Pine wood bed frames are an ideal wood to stain, which gives you the opportunity to change or enhance your style as your preferences change. Softwoods

Softwood wood varieties are wood types that are sourced from cone bearing trees (evergreens with needles), such as spruce, pine, and fir. Softwood wood varieties are well-known for their superb ability to resist decay and/or rot, making them an ideal choice for both indoor and outdoor use; they are long-lasting and very durable. Espresso Wood

When talking about coffees, espresso is the strong black one. In furniture and woods, it is actually somewhat similar to that. Espresso is a deep, dark brown color, so dark that it is sometimes mistaken to be jet black when, in fact, it stands between the two colors. If you want your bed to look elegant, go for espresso wood. It will also appear neat because dark color can magically tuck away dirt and dust. When under direct lighting, espresso gives out red hues. Cabinets, tables, and shelves that are in espresso sell more than those in light colors because many people opt for a traditional and classic look. Because of its neutral color, espresso is very versatile. It can go well with any home color scheme and design style. Since it's not black and definitely not a bright color, espresso can be pleasing and gentle to the feeling and to the eyes. It can also make you feel relaxed because of its soothing and coffee-like color, perfect after a long day at work.

Espresso may also be your favorite drink! You will definitely wake up feeling energized just by seeing your bed.
