I love this bed! It was a great price and with my Amazon Prime I got it in a couple of days. I live alone and was able to put this together myself in about 45 minutes to an hour with no difficulty what so ever. The part that took the longest was tighteing all the screws. After having this for several weeks I am extremely pleased with how sturdy it is. Several reviews felt that it was not sturdy enough but I can't imagine why not. I even thought that I may have to add more slats ater reading several reviews so I had purchased some material for this but never needed them. I do have a low profile box spring which I would definitely recommend, otherwise there will be a gap between the mattress and bottom of headboard. Overall, great buy and am totally happy with the price and quality of the product!

As far as quality goes it's not necessarily the highest, but the price tag justifies that for sure. And it looks fantastic! Sits nice and low to the ground, maybe 2.5 feet with the mattress (if you have back/leg/etc. issues that would be complicated by being low to the ground, you may want to consider a different bed)Fairly easy assembly (have a Phillips head screwdriver ready). Took about 40 mins from start to finish.More on quality: sits flat on the floor, no issues there. Make sure to position the headboard flat against a wall though. The supports that attach it to the frame aren't the most sturdy so it has a tendency to rock around when you climb in and out. No issues with that since squaring it against the wall. The wooden slats that support the mattress are sturdy enough, but there could definitely be more of them to keep the mattress from sinking in spots (I'm using a memory foam mattress). A regular mattress would probably sit just fine though.

I bought this bed based solely off the reviews, the price, and the fact that it would be delivered for free. Delivery, though, took about two weeks from the purchase date. The material is a pleather, which is fine for me, because you can Windex it if it gets dirty. The bed wasn't too difficult to put together, and when assembled, is very solid, as noted in other reviews. My only qualm, which isn't a big one, is that the slats themselves are not pre-drilled for the screws. You just have to pick a spot on the slat, grab a screwdriver, and apply a good amount of pressure for the screw to catch. It's pine, so it isn't difficult to screw into. I added felt stick pads to the bottom of all of the ground contact points so that my hardwood floors wouldn't be scratched. Otherwise, there are little hard plastic sliders nailed into the contact points already at the factory if those will work for you.

So ok, I was skeptical in purchasing a bed online but then again, I've purchased so many things that have been great that I figured, why not. Well now I know why not. Let's start with the positives... The bed is beautiful. I love the "leather look" and I love the color. It fits perfect with my room aesthetic. It was also surprisingly easy to put together. I did it in less that 1/2 hour. Now the stuff I wish I knew before buying this bed that makes me borderline regret it... It broke. Within 4 days off setting it up. The wooden planks that go under the bed are frustratingly narrow and I worried that they could hold up my mattress let alone me AND my mattress. Then it comes with these flimsy little wooden posts that are supposed to help balance out the weighted pressure if the mattress and person laying on it. One night I was just sleeping and heard a "pop/crack" sound and felt the bed sink. (I'm not too heavy for this bed if that's what you're thinking. Nor was anything done that could contribute to breaking the bed.) It. Just. Broke. I would have given this bed glowing reviews if the parts that are supposed to HOLD THE BED UP AND TOGETHER would HAVE ACTUALLY DONE THAT or if they would provide their customers with better quality wood, or even more panels or posts to reinforce the bed for that matter, this bed would bet perfect. I have no choice but to find something to fix it and more wood possibly. Anyways, for those reading this... Is it worth the money? No. Because it's going to break. If you have to buy something extra to reinforce the bed if defeats the purpose of buying it online to save on extra costs. May as well pay more and have a bed you can sleep on with confidence you're not going to break it For now it's sleep on the couch until I fix it. Read more

Sadly, this bed is worth the $200 bucks we paid for it, and that's not a good thing. It had really solid reviews and is essentially a platform bed. So, easy, right? The Pros (and why it got two stars):- nice looking- sturdy enough so farThe Cons:- we paid for next day delivery because it was available for $20 bucks, but only half arrived the next day. After several calls with Amazon (who was great), we didn't have any real answer as to what happened to the second box. It finally showed up a couple of days later (Amazon was kind enough to refund the shipping cost)- the "platform" is actually non-existent. It is four narrow wood cross bars that don't actually make a platform. The bars are so narrow and so few that there are huge gaps between them that cause the mattress to sag in some places. This makes the bed remarkably uncomfortable. Luckily my husband is awesome so he went out and bought a large flat plank of wood, had it cut the right size, and laid that over the boards and under the mattress so now it's actually a platform.Overall, it was cheap and so you get what you pay for. We're making do, though, because a little ingenuity on our part made it possible.Read more

Questions & Answers

What kind of frame do I need?
The bed is the frame. If you are asking about a box spring, yes, this bed requires a box spring. We bought a low-profile box spring but you can easily use a regular one and it still won't cover up the headboard. There is only a 5 inch difference in a regular box spring and a low-profile.

Are there any items to raise the bed higher from the ground?
No. But i added a box spring so my bed is pretty high. Almost too high!

Will this bed support a memory foam mattress?
Yes, it will. I would recommend getting some reinforcements for the wooden stats underneath the mattress, as the ones that come with it are slippery and have broken for me.

how high is the headboard?
46 1/2 inches from the ground is how high the headboard is.

When you need to kick back and unwind on your own, you need a single-material bed. Single-material beds are an excellent choice for anyone that likes simplicity and practicality. Without combining materials, you get a clean and uniform looking bed that will match any bedroom. The con of a single-material bed is that they won’t stand out as much as other beds, but this can also be a pro as well, as it means they’ll easily blend into any room and not take attention away from other features that are nearby. The single-material is recommended if you’re after a bed for a minimalist setting, something that looks very simple and neutral - then you’re going to be satisfied by the single-material bed. A tropical themed bedroom will definitely take your breath away especially if its aura matches or is borrowed from the exotic tropical getaway. When it comes to transforming your bedroom’s interior décor into a tropical inspired décor, you will have a wide spectrum of designs to choose from such as the woodsy and serene bedroom themes you are likely to find tropical holiday retreats.

Fabric

Fabric is commonly designed for everyday clothing, and, because of its quality, it can also be used for furniture upholstery. Light, simple, and versatile, fabric-upholstered beds can effortlessly match any interior design theme. They are durable and long-lasting. Fabrics are also soft and comfortable and can even make your bed stand out from the rest of your furnishings.

There are different types of fabric-upholstered bed depending on the textile used and each of them has its distinct advantages and disadvantages. A linen-upholstered bed is breathable, easy to clean, and hypo-allergenic, but is prone to wrinkles and low stain-resistance. A velvet-upholstered bed is good for those with pets and can be dyed in rich colors, but high-maintenance and very expensive. A cotton-upholstered bed is abrasion-resistant and allows you to maintain a cool feeling, but not that stain-resistant and its fibers may weaken when directly exposed to sunlight. A corduroy-upholstered bed is durable, low-maintenance, and inexpensive, but can be heavy. But, whichever type you choose, surely fabric can turn your bed into a comfortable one.

Leather

Leather is a traditional upholstery material for a reason. It looks great, feels fantastic and is long-lasting. It also has some symbolism attached to it - leather upholstery says things without verbalising them. It says "class". It says "luxury". It says "style". If you've got a need or a want for an upholstery material that's ticks the classic and traditional boxes, as well as the box that says "magnificence" at the same time - then it's the leather upholstery material that you're going to wish your bed was made from. Leather is a strong and durable material, that is scratch-resistant and won’t wrinkle or crease up - it’s an excellent choice for anyone that needs their bed to be not just a status symbol, but also a good long-term, practical decision. Treat yourself to something special, and choose leather.

Plastic

With an average of 5% usage increase per year, plastic or polyvinyl chloride (PVC) fabric is probably one of the most commonly used textile for bed upholstery in the world, proving its versatility. Also called as "vinyl," PVC is made from 57% chlorine (from salt) and 43% ethylene (from crude oil or sugar crops). You don't have to worry if a certain style is available; a plastic-upholstered bed has a wide variety of design and color choices, which means it looks good on any color scheme and theme. In addition, an everyday use is not a problem for this type of bed upholstery since plastic is designed to be stain-resistant and antimicrobial. It also has a promising strength, durability, and flexibility that can stand distortion and abrasion. Furthermore, many bed makers prefer PVC fabric because of its long lifespan and resistance to water and chemical, making it effortless to clean when your favorite drink spills over.

Polyurethane

Are you a leather fan yet can't seem to afford one? Polyurethane (PU) leather got you! Comes in several names such as bicast leather, split leather, bonded leather, reconstituted leather, and corrected grain leather, PU fabric is a material made of layer/s of polymer resins. A PU coating is added, which gives its leather look. Compared to real leather, PU is easier to clean and washable. It is also animal-friendly, so you don't have to keep your dear pets away from the room. Despite being cheaper, this artificial leather is very durable and doesn't crack with use or fade under sunlight, though it can more easily be torn than the real one. It doesn't dry out over time, as well. Actually, it's a better textile compared to other faux leather alternatives and is more eco-friendly than real leather when talking about sustainability because its production uses less resources.

Comes in varieties of color, PU goes well with a modern industrial style.
