Giving this 5 stars because it is the finest piece of audio furniture I've ever seen. Very heavy, but assembly is simple and straight forward - took my wife and I maybe 45 minutes. If this looks like a good solution for you, please also consider the limitations posed by this piece for those blessed/cursed with a large equipment footprint. My equipment footprint is reasonably substantial: Denon X3200 AVR, Surround Preamp, Network Media Player, Turntable and separate pre-amp, Gigabit Fibre Modem, DVR and Genie Wireless Hub, Smart Blu-ray Player, 10-Port Gigabit Switch, Bi-Wired Supertowers with LFE, 7.1 Surround speaker system, and 4 APC Media Center UPSes.So we're talking about a lot of full-sized rack designed equipment, a substantial amount of BAU wiring (interconnects, network cables, power supplies, etc.), PLUS around 40+ feet of thick cumbersome bi-wire speaker wire and feeds for the UPSs.Bluntly, the capabilities of this cabinet are stretched to the limit when building out a system of this scope. The major limitations are as follows:1) The depth of the cabinet is JUST ENOUGH to accommodate full-sized equipment.2) The shelf in the center bay is fixed. It cannot be adjusted.3) The load bearing capability of the shelf in the center bay is limited.4) The back of the cabinet behind the center bay is fixed. It cannot be opened. My original intent was to put the AVR and Preamp side-by-side in the top section of the center bay and the power supplies stacked in pairs on the bottom. This would give the shortest runs for most of the cables, and generally made sense. Despite carefully checking the manufacturers drawings (and having assumed issues 2-4 above weren't the case), this strategy failed right off: The top shelf wasn't capable of handling the weight of the components. Looking closer before abandoning the approach, I discovered I needed to raise the shelf an inch to clear the tops of the power supplies, and even if I could there wasn't adequate access behind the rack to perform/maintain the wiring. This forced the big stuff to of the outside sections, and caused an already difficult wire-up to become even more so. As in about two or three iterations of more so. It was like wiring a small car. From scratch. It was agony. Do note that if it wasn't for my total aversion to dirty power and my total insistence that I shall never be bothered with a grid failure, the power supplies could be dropped from the build and things would get somewhat easier.But...It was worth it.When technology-averse types routinely notice your audio cabinet first when walking into a large and well appointed space you'll get the picture. It is massive, rich, elegant, and stunning. It runs cool, it accepts remote-signals without fuss (I went to all IP control, but whatever), and did I say it's gorgeous?Read more

Simply beautiful and simple. Very versatile with plenty of cable openings and room for bookshelf speakers in the side cabinets and room in the center for a center speaker or soundbar...all out of sight! Doesn’t seem to interfere with the audio quality, I’m sure technically it does, but for the type of listening in the living room, it’s fine. Sounds good, looks great with the wall mounted TV on the wall behind it. The wheels don’t work great on carpet, so we placed some of those plastic furniture slidders under them, temporarily, during set up. The back has slidding access doors with ventilation slots. Our wall is light colored, and since there is no heat in the sides (just holds speakers) we attached some small pieces of black, thin, cloth loosely on the back, to block the view of the wall while looking head on. If there was a heat generating piece of equipment, you could figure out something that would block the sight of the wall without impeding cooling. There are also nice ventilating slots on the floor of the cabinets and shelves. Love BDI designs.

This product arrived safely and was delivered into my home. The packaging is good. All pieces arrived safely, including the very large piece of glass. The assembly instructions are very clear and easy to follow and all tools are included. The one suggestion I’d have is the instruction say to lay the piece on its back to assemble the base, but I found flipping it on its top (before the glass is added, of course) was better because you don’t fight gravity as much. One person can do most of the assembly, but I’d recommend two when it comes to flipping the unit around and adding the glass.I love the shelf pegs, which screw into threaded inserts and have rubber o-rings for dampening vibration. Elegant touch. Cable management is excellent as the back sliding panels and cutouts in the back corners of shelves and the access between compartments makes routing cables easy. Being able to bring a cable from up underneath may be helpful for the power cable. I love how there’s room for a long, narrow power strip in the back.I can’t say enough good things about the design, but one thing I wish this thing did is hide its contents from the front. You can see through the slats when you are sitting. My suggestion is for the manufacturer to route a groove around the perimeter and provide black screen and rubber splines as an option. I’ll have to do something about it myself. I don’t have a router, so it will probably be black screen screwed to the back of the door. Wish the designer had accounted for this. to come up with a more elegant solution.Read more

This is a media buff TV cabinet for high end look and sound. Fits my 85” Samsung QLED perfectly and completely hides the Sonos Playbar and SubWoofer inside doors. One of my Best purchases and well worth the money!

We've had this entertainment center since July and absolutely love it! We went back and forth on whether or not to purchase it or not, because the price was a little high for us, but we kept coming back to it and decided to go for it! There was a little bit of a hold up on delivery, but after contacting the seller we were given offered a discount, which we gladly took and made us feel even better about the purchase. We were also given an awesome wireless speaker (we love it!) which I believe was just a gift with purchase. It really is a stunning piece of furniture. Unfortunately the glass top shattered (along with our hearts) last weekend, but after getting in touch with the seller, we were shipped a brand new top for free that arrived in just a few days. We were so relieved and impressed that it was taken care of so quickly. I highly recommend this product and this seller. Thank you!

I like the look of it in our living room, we purchased the chocolate stained walnut that looks great against our dark wood floors. We have a large movie collection so we were looking for something that would look nice and also function well in storing all our media uses. The PlayStation & blue ray player are nicely stored inside and they can "breathe" as it has flow through ventilation in the shelve panels. The cabinet doors don't slam, and that is amazing. I now want all our cabinets to have this feature. We've had it for over a year now, and still happy with our purchase. My husband shopped around, and compared various ones before making this purchase.

After doing a lot of research on entertainment consoles/credenzas, I came across the BDI line and knew I had found just what I was looking for. They are a little more expensive than the average unit that you'll find when searching, but in addition to being absolutely beautiful, they are heavy, sturdy and very well-designed to accommodate your TV peripheral components. BDI credenzas come in a variety of sizes and styles. They are built to last and are well worth the cost. My Corridor 8179 unit came primarily pre-assembled and required only about 30-45 minutes to attach the base and door handles, but it is VERY heavy and requires two strong people, although I somehow managed to do it alone. I definitely recommend the BDI line to anyone who is looking for a high-quality, functional and attractive media console.

Very nice unit. Well designed. Relatively straight forward to assemble.Excellent internal layout, access to equipment and wiring from the rear, and ease of movement of unit (even when fully loaded) to get to the rear.Bought for the functionality, not the aesthetic, but the latter has grown on me.Not cheap in any sense - including price.... very happy with the purchase.

The unit itself is beautiful. The wood is good, though not superb. The design is gorgeous. The unit did however get lost during the delivery. The seller reacted quickly and the unit was found and delivered soon thereafter (though with a week or so delay). The unit had one little wooden bar broken. It was easy to repair, but it was damaged. The seller, again, reacted quickly and came up with alternatives that were somewhat useful. While a small discount would have been ideal, the seller claims that Amazon “only allows for a $20 discount”. Fair enough. Alternatives like sending the thing back for a replacement are not that helpful. The box doesn’t really survive setting the unit up (it requires some assembly) and moving a unit this size back and forth is not really practical. And I assume a new unit would have taken months. All in all, happy with the unit, somewhat frustrated with the experience realizing that the seller tried hard to get this right.

Cable Management

Electric devices play a crucial role in brightening the living room and breaking boredom. A cable management feature on a tv stand will ensure neatness while offering safety. All devices must use electricity and cables running everywhere, which can pose a significant risk for any member of the house. With a cable management feature installed on a tv stand, you rest assured of safety and elegance. Stands without proper cable management usually look shaggy, and in case you have toddlers around, you never know when the can will be changed to 'meal' as they don't choose what goes in the mouth. Managing cables or wires helps to maintain essential functions and also protect the devices from the clogged airflow due to messy and disordered wires. Tangled-up lines may make it hard for anyone cleaning the tv stand. The cable management feature is therefore essential to create a visually pleasing and clean work environment.

Storage

Keep clutter to a minimum in your living room by getting a TV stand that is fitted with some storage area that can be used to conceal and organize all of your living room necessities, starting from your children toys, magazines, remote controls, novels, to any other form of clutter you might have in your house. Such a piece of furniture do really come in handy as it allows you to store more both in style and without having to occupy so much space. For most living room, TV stand fitted with storage such as cabinets, shelves, safes, or hutches are stylish storage additions especially for modern or traditional living room designs, as they tend to bring some sense of style to your space while still providing you with plenty of storage.

Unlike other species, this wood species has hues and lines that make it look even more attractive. The tv stand made from hardwood species can be part of any design scheme or blends well with the rest of the living room decor.

Walnut

Walnut wood tv stands are durable and long-lasting furniture pieces that will last for years to come. Walnut wood has a gorgeous wood grain pattern, a rich and subtle brown tone, and is highly resistant to cracking or splintering of the wood (with normal use). Walnut wood is also an ideal wood variety to stain, finish or polish, as it takes to these veneers quite well. Walnut wood is a beautiful, muted brown that is very subtle and natural-looking. The rich and warm tone of Walnut wood is an ideal choice to create an inviting ambience in your home.
