I purchased this for my 11 year old grandson. He wanted something he could sit under and do his "gaming". Perfect! He loved it. It is really sturdy and looks really nice. Lots of pieces to put together though....my daughter had to do that!!!! LOL

Super easy to assemble! I got this for my son's bedroom and he loves it. Good quality looks exactly like the picture. The only small problem is the space between the bed rail and the ceiling is narrow.

These beds are great for saving space, we have 2 in our daughters' room and it provides them with a desk for school too, the only thing that i not thrilled with are the ladders, they are very uncomfortable on bare feet.

It looks nice and will hopefully hold up. The ladder is really steep and hurts your feet to step on- there is also no cut out so you climb over the rail to get into and out of bed.

As an adult - I live in a 175sqft studio apartment currently. Not sure how long I'll live here but it could be a while so I want to maximize space. I'm 5'5" and about 125lbs. Do buyers think it'd be suitable? I already sleep on what feels like a concrete slab with a few layers of blankets... pretty firm feeling. Do the sleepers of these loft beds feel like they get a good nights rest or does the frame create pressure points?
MI purchased this for my 8 yr old son and he is around 65 lbs. He likes the bed, but it squeaks when he moves around. I weigh 250 lbs so I would never step on that ladder, but your weight should not be an issue. Good luck.

Does this bed require a bunker board and/or box spring?
Does not require additional foundation

Do you have to climb over the rail to get into the bed?
Yes, you do. Initially, the rungs on the ladder hurt my kids feet so we covered them with a pool noodle.

How deep is the main frame not including the ladder sticking out? Is it really 57" deep or is it closer to 44" and the extra depth is listed because of the ladder?
I believe it is closer to the 44 inches. Because my granddaughter's twin mattress fits very nicely. With no extra overhang or anything.

The height is listed as 74"H - that is from floor to ??? (e.g., bottom of matress., top of arc on side frame, etc. Also, is there a recommended min ceiling height for this?
The height is listed from the floor to the top of the arch of the top bunk. We recommend at least an 8 foot ceiling for this bunk bed.

Twin

A Twin bed also referred to as a single bed is one of the smallest bed in the market with a dimension of 38’’ by 75’’. Its compact size makes it ideal for single sleepers may it be children or an adult living in a small space such as a studio apartment. It’s an affordable and versatile bed set up for various sleepers such as toddlers and college student in the dorm. For over several decades it has been one of the most popular beds among college students and young children in their early teens as you can find it in most of their bedrooms, however in this modern age where people are seeking for more comfort and space, the popularity of twin beds is been over taken by queen size beds. Despite being great for growing children it’s also very flexible and versatile especially if you are trying to maximize the space in your bedroom.

Black

When trying to open up a smaller bedroom most people often think about bright colors with light hues, but also there is a stronger advantage for going darker and there is no better way to do that than with a black bed. Black is known to amplify small spaces and also set the right mood in your bedroom space. A black colored bed makes your bedroom fell more intimate and special in ways that you could have never imagined before, something that you would never achieve with any of those bright colors. There is nothing as important as setting the right mood in your bedroom especially if you are a couple since it’s the base of your relationship romantically. A black bed adds a touch of intrigue but still blends right into the bedroom décor colors creating a timeless look.

Green

A Green bed strikes a balance between the different colors you can find in a bedroom creating a more sophisticated and modern feel. Getting yourself a Green bed is one good way of adding some funk into your bedroom environment. Green also looks great on an antique or vintage bed especially if you are someone who is in love with nature. And in case you are in love with nature don’t let anyone stop you from living your green dream, go and get yourself a breathtaking green bed, and create a green paradise in your bedroom. Bringing in a Green bed in to a boring bedroom space spices up everything making your bedroom space look happier. If you intend to convert your whole bedroom into green it’s always good to start with baby steps, and no better way to do that than by getting yourself a green bed.

Silver

Sliver is a monochromatic color that creates a clean and elegant bedroom space. A silver colored bed goes perfectly well with a wooden flooring or any other dark wooden furniture in your bedroom. It’s also mainly used in bedrooms with bright blue accent walls to create a perfect environment for to relax after a long day’s work. To many people, silver is still considered a luxurious color and as a result a silver bed is definitely a representation luxury. Silver also has sleep inducing characteristics that will help you get more sleep, on average you are likely to get 8 hours of uninterrupted sleep. A silver colored bedroom on the other hand doesn’t look boring or washed up, but instead it creates an amazing bedroom with a lot of depth without even considering the contrasting colors.

White

A white bed is definitely a show stopper, it’s plain and simple. Despite people referring to white as lack of other colors, a white bed makes quite a statement. It gives your bedroom space a more open and timeless feel, while allowing your bedroom décor to standout even more clearly. A bed with a pure shade of white energizes your entire space giving it a vibrant new look, giving you the illusion of a more light within your bedroom. What makes a white bed a favorite for many is the fact that white as a color creates a relaxing sleep environment. And as you know choosing the right color is very important, since color is like magic and can influence your state of mind and emotions. If there is one thing you should do right is get yourself a white bed and enjoy every single moment you spend in your bedroom.

Bunk Loft

Sometimes, bunk beds and loft beds are often being used interchangeably. Don't fall for it. These two bed types have a difference. Yes, you may notice that they both have a ladder. However, a bunk bed has at least two beds stacked on top of each other and a loft bed, though a double-level bed as well, is only a single bed. Bunk beds are commonly seen in hostels, military camps, and dormitories. In addition, some of this kind come with a trundle or pull-out bed that can accommodate one more person.

On the other hand, loft beds allow you to use the space beneath your bed as a study or work area or as a closet. If the time will come when you decide that you don't need a bunk bed anymore, don't worry, you can convert it to a loft bed. Simply and carefully remove the bottom bunk. Depending on your needs, both bunk and loft beds are space-saving.

Kids

The home is the training ground for children. It's where they learn and cultivate their values and character. So as a parent or a guardian, you play a big role in who they will become. Allow them to be themselves, to explore what they like, and to play with their imagination. Actually, you can start with their bedroom. How? Ask them what wall color they like. If you have an extra budget for a custom-made bed, ask your little one how he would like for it to look like. A car? A train? A spaceship? A dollhouse? Or if you can, build the bed yourself! It can be a great bonding time for you and your kids.

A kid's bed can also be space-saving with its built-in drawers, which can be a way to tidy up their toys and books. Beds with bedside table, where your child(ren) can study and play with papers and crayons, are also available in the market. Of course, kids love to play. Make bedtime fun with tent beds, beds with slide, and house-shaped kids' beds! Surely, your youngster will enjoy both his waking and sleeping hours.

Storage Included

When your bedroom space is small storage can be the biggest challenge you will encounter. Your closet could be a solution but not big enough to pack so many clothes. Well, you may want to buy a bigger cabinet, but you don’t want to pack so many dressers and cabinets into your space that it feels clunky and crowded. Storage beds are a fantastic way to get more space without adding extra furniture, and a lot of them are so stylishly designed you almost don’t notice the drawers are there. This bed design offers a great way to make the most of the space in your room, giving you a place to stash clothes, bedding, and more inside or beneath your bed frame. The best storage beds feature spacious compartments that are easy to access, and with tons of styles to choose from. The most common options are shelves built into the headboard or drawers built into the frame below the mattress. Depending on the reason you want space, a storage bed provides easy access, but if you're storing items that you don't need to get to very often, you can opt for a spacious platform beneath the bed that can be accessed when you lift the mattress. Ultimately, your choice will come down to what's most convenient for you.

Desk

A bed desk is the most comfortable and logical way to use things like your laptop or tablet, or to use as a stable base to write things on. If you're the type of person that gets those great ideas coming to mind when you're in the bedroom - then the desk is an excellent feature to have because you'll be able to jot down your brilliant ideas easily and without having to worry about your writing not being easy to read! Another benefit the desk has, is you can use it to eat on without making a big mess of your bed! The bed desk is a versatile feature to have, and you will get a lot of use out of it. Once you start to get used to a desk as a bed feature, you will wonder how you got this far in life without one!

Metal

One of the most asked question when it comes metallic beds is, are they safe for younger children? And the answer is always, yes they are. One of reason to why metal beds have grown in popularity over the last couple of years is the fact that they require less maintenance since as we all know metal does not dent or scratch easily making it even a more attractive option as compared to wooden and plastic beds. When it comes to durability also metal beds are currently the most durable beds in the market more durable than the wooden beds and would even handle more weight than a wooden bed frame. Metal beds are also highly portable since they are lighter than other types of bed, and in case you are the kind of person who love rearranging their bedroom setup you will definitely love the metal bed.

Single Material

When you need to kick back and unwind on your own, you need a single-material bed. Single-material beds are an excellent choice for anyone that likes simplicity and practicality. Without combining materials, you get a clean and uniform looking bed that will match any bedroom. The con of a single-material bed is that they won’t stand out as much as other beds, but this can also be a pro as well, as it means they’ll easily blend into any room and not take attention away from other features that are nearby. The single-material is recommended if you’re after a bed for a minimalist setting, something that looks very simple and neutral - then you’re going to be satisfied by the single-material bed. Single-material beds also look great when you have two separate beds in the same room - the single-material look really gives the room a strong, matching and consistent appearance.

Beds come in different sizes ranging from infant-sized cribs to small beds that can just accommodate one person, to large king and queen sized beds designed for two or more people.
