Sturdy, gorgeous, but honestly a headache to put together. You definitely need two people and even then it's an awkward juggling act to get these pieces to link in. With that said, after constructing, I have no worries about the quality or sturdiness of this great daybed. Watch out for pricing...this daybed fluctuates dramatically in price. We returned ours when we saw a $100 dip even after the $100 dip we purchased it (watch for months-it's worth it).

Because the sides of this bed are quite high, you need to make sure you have the appropriate space in a room, or it could make things look very cramped if the area is small.I love the natural wood tone and the beige fabric. It is not of the highest quality for sure, (the fabric) I wouldn't get it if this was going to be used to sleep on every day maybe, but it looks like it could be from Restoration Hardware, so it's a win for a guest room, for example.I got it for my husbands office, so he has a little place to lay down and stretch if he needs a break from his desk, as well as a place to read if he likes. Any floor lamp you want to use next to it will have to be measured carefully for height as it can be dwarfed by the high sides of this daybed. I bought a lamp and have it elevated on a riser so it would be tall enough to get the look I wanted.A great purchase I do not regret. It's attractive, neutral, a perfect reading nook in my husband's office. Just make sure they drop off the right product! The first time around they delivered a giant dog crate instead of the this daybed. Oops!Read more

I had this bed almost a year in my guest room so it hasn't been used much at all. It has been used about 12 time since the purchase.I had it installed by a professional. About a week ago, I laid on the bed to take a nap and the bed collapsed and I am not overweight. The only part I could salvage are the sides and the back. I kept them and purchased a wooden platform so I could continue to use the unit as a bed. Too bad because it is a beautiful bed. But it just isn't sturdy. My photos show where it broke, what I was left with and what it looked like when it was installed.

Twin

A Twin bed also referred to as a single bed is one of the smallest bed in the market with a dimension of 38’’ by 75’’. Its compact size makes it ideal for single sleepers may it be children or an adult living in a small space such as a studio apartment. It’s an affordable and versatile bed set up for various sleepers such as toddlers and college student in the dorm. For over several decades it has been one of the most popular beds among college students and young children in their early teens as you can find it in most of their bedrooms, however in this modern age where people are seeking for more comfort and space, the popularity of twin beds is been over taken by queen size beds. Despite being great for growing children it’s also very flexible and versatile especially if you are trying to maximize the space in your bedroom.

Fabrics are also soft and comfortable and can even make your bed stand out from the rest of your furnishings.

There are different types of fabric-upholstered bed depending on the textile used and each of them has its distinct advantages and disadvantages. A linen-upholstered bed is breathable, easy to clean, and hypo-allergenic, but is prone to wrinkles and low stain-resistance. A velvet-upholstered bed is good for those with pets and can be dyed in rich colors, but high-maintenance and very expensive. A cotton-upholstered bed is abrasion-resistant and allows you to maintain a cool feeling, but not that stain-resistant and its fibers may weaken when directly exposed to sunlight. Hardwoods

Hardwood wood varieties refer to the type of tree the wood is taken from; it has nothing to do with how heavy or dense the wood is (contrary to popular belief!). Hardwood woods are sourced from trees that have leaves and lose their leaves in the winter months. Types of hardwood trees include hickory, maple, oak, birch and cherry (among others). Wood from hardwood trees is usually harder and therefore more dense, as these trees tend to grow at a slower rate. Hardwood is ideal for use in indoor furniture crafting, as it is sturdy and durable. Most hardwood varieties are bright and beautiful in their natural tone/shade, but many take well to staining, finishes and paints. The hardwood varieties offer a cozy, warm look and enrich your bedroom style. Hardwood bed frames are a great way to brighten your bedroom and enhance the overall look and feel of your sleep space!

Oak

If you’re looking for a way to refurbish your sleep space, purchasing an oak bed should be at the top of your to-do list! Oak is a classic, refined and traditional wood finish that is simply gorgeous. A natural oak finish is typically a warm cherry brown color; however, oak takes to staining quite well. This allows you to change up the look of your furniture to match your ever-changing style and design preferences. The simple grain patterns in oak wood are beautiful and understated; this gives you a timeless look for your bedroom that you’re sure to love for years to come. Oak is heavier than some of the other wood varieties, so assembly of any bedroom furniture is best if there are two or more people. Once properly assembled, oak furniture enhances the coziness of your bedroom and can add a rustic flair to your design motif.

Pine

Do you love a rustic, classic bedroom style? A pine wood bed frame should be at the top of your shopping list! Pine wood is a softwood variety, meaning it is well-suited for use in both indoor and outdoor furniture because of its durability. Pine is a shock-resistant wood that is strong and long-lasting and is well-suited for crafting ornate and intricate details; this only adds more beauty to your home! Pine wood is lighter in color with an almost creamy white appearance; it is beautiful in both its natural state or finished with a stain. Pine wood is also lighter in weight than some other wood varieties, making assembly of bed frames relatively simple and quick. Pine wood bed frames are an ideal wood to stain, which gives you the opportunity to change or enhance your style as your preferences change. It’s a perfect choice whether you want to achieve a rustic, warm bedroom environment, or a more modern, contemporary sleep space.

Softwoods

Softwood wood varieties are wood types that are sourced from cone bearing trees (evergreens with needles), such as spruce, pine, and fir. Softwood wood varieties are well-known for their superb ability to resist decay and/or rot, making them an ideal choice for both indoor and outdoor use; they are long-lasting and very durable. Softwood wood varieties are also versatile and are the top choice for designing and crafting furniture with ornate, distinct details. Softwoods are more vulnerable to dings or dents; however, they are still very sturdy and dependable furniture pieces. Due to the wood type’s versatility, softwood bed frames are ideal for people who love an ornate and detailed décor style. Softwood wood types most often have a neutral, earthy color and pair well with bright color palettes to create a gorgeous contrast and give your bedroom a fresh new look!
