Overall, this platform is sturdy and unobtrusive. It seems to be doing its job well and has enough room underneath for me to store extra boxes that I want to keep out of the way.Only complaints were on assembly. The instructions were not as clear as they could have been about the orientation of the side rails and I ended up putting on backward the first time. Additionally, the bolts that hold the outside of the frame together were extremely difficult to screw in. I ended up stripping the hex key hole on the bolts and buying a couple of replacement bolts at the hardware store (fortunately, they are a standard size bolt and were easy to get).Bottom line: once assembled, the platform is great, but assembly was more difficult than expected.

The predrilled holes for the headboard don’t line up. I had to widen the holes in the frame for the headboard to line up.

Seems like a sturdy bed but when we tried to put it together, the screws would not go into the rails. Stripped 3 of them trying. Called Wayfair & they are sending a replacement so hopefully that one is better.

It's fine as a bed frame BUT the legs stick out and it's easy to stub a toe. Would not have bought if I had seen it IRL first.

Honestly, yes this bedframe is cheap, but there's a reason for that. When attempting to set the bed up, we noticed that many of the parts are faulty. Most notable, the center stability bar is supposed to have holes in a few places for attaching the additional stability legs... seems they neglected to drill those holes when manufacturing the bed frame. I'm very disappointed in the purchase, good chance I'll be returning.

Long assembly time, bolts were difficult to screw in, and the bed itself is pretty janky. Wish I could get my money back

Full / Double

A Full / Double bed is a bed meant for couples to share, however with the emergence of so many size options full-double beds are now mainly meant for single sleepers. Back in the 1940s a couple would perfectly fit and enjoy a full double bed, in fact you might have seen one in those 90s movies a classic full-double bed with a nightstand next to it and an old black and white TV on the wall. In modern day, full-double beds are still very popular, mainly among the younger generation who are not married yet and desire a little bit of comfort. Full-double beds fell out of favor of many couple with the introduction of king and queen size beds in to the markets. But despite that a full-double bed is still an excellent choice for single adults with limited space but still desire a bigger bed.

King

A king size bed is the largest standard bed that you will find in the market plus it measures 76 inches by 80 inches, making it a great and popular choice among couple. Single sleepers with the proper finances also enjoy the luxury and comfort of having a huge bed all to themselves. The King Size bed also comes in different variations which are the California size bed that’s 4 inches longer than a normal king size bed and 4 inches narrower, another variation is the California king size bed, the ideal choice if you are sharing your bed with someone who is more than 6 feet tall. If you are couple looking for a bed with extra comfort and space for the both of you I would highly recommend the King size bed as it’s a combination of unmatched comfort and luxury.

Queen

A Queen Size bed is usually 60 inches by 80 inches. It’s a very popular bed as it ideal for various kind of lifestyle, it can suit a wide range of sleepers such as single sleepers looking for a luxurious bed or couple who are shopping on a budget. A queen size bed can fit in most bedrooms making it ideal for couples who want to share a bed plus also its affordability. The Queen Size bed has different variations in case you need a size larger than a normal queen bed but smaller than a king sized bed. These variations include an Olympic queen sized bed which has 6 extra inches on its width and a California queen which has 4 extra inches in length. A queen size bed will fit perfectly well in large bedrooms and smaller bedrooms.

It’s an affordable and versatile bed set up for various sleepers such as toddlers and college student in the dorm. For over several decades it has been one of the most popular beds among college students and young children in their early teens as you can find it in most of their bedrooms, however in this modern age where people are seeking for more comfort and space, the popularity of twin beds is been over taken by queen size beds. Despite being great for growing children it’s also very flexible and versatile especially if you are trying to maximize the space in your bedroom.

Twin / Single

A twin-single bed are two, single beds that are bought and designed to be used together, they are mainly recommended for children or teens who share the same bedroom and don’t need that much space. The term twin-single originally came about as hotels were used to placing two single beds in the same room and hence the term “twin” single beds. Twin single beds makes good guests beds or bunk beds, especially if you are trying to maximize on a small bedroom space, twin single beds are usually a good option for narrow bedrooms and if you have kids who are sharing the same bedroom. Twin-single beds allows each child to have their own bed without the room feeling too cramped up. They are usually an ideal choice especially for children who have out grown their cribs.

Black

When trying to open up a smaller bedroom most people often think about bright colors with light hues, but also there is a stronger advantage for going darker and there is no better way to do that than with a black bed. Black is known to amplify small spaces and also set the right mood in your bedroom space. A black colored bed makes your bedroom fell more intimate and special in ways that you could have never imagined before, something that you would never achieve with any of those bright colors. There is nothing as important as setting the right mood in your bedroom especially if you are a couple since it’s the base of your relationship romantically. A black bed adds a touch of intrigue but still blends right into the bedroom décor colors creating a timeless look.

Kids

The home is the training ground for children. It's where they learn and cultivate their values and character. So as a parent or a guardian, you play a big role in who they will become. Allow them to be themselves, to explore what they like, and to play with their imagination. Actually, you can start with their bedroom. How? Ask them what wall color they like. If you have an extra budget for a custom-made bed, ask your little one how he would like for it to look like. A car? A train? A spaceship? A dollhouse? Or if you can, build the bed yourself! Heavy Duty Squeak Resistant

We all look for beds that don’t squeak, for better, noise free peaceful slumber at night. This includes everyone else in the family that sleeps under same roof. Kids move around a lot while they sleep or doing some other activities, so as parents being able to sleep without hearing the creak every time they move around the bed. Beds that don’t squeak are made from solid wood materials. These types of materials are stronger, well-built and less inclined to produce small noises. The reason behind the squeaky bed is that the frame is loose so the side rails and headboard are rubbing against each other.

Solid wood frames are made from the materials like mahogany, oak, rubber wood, teak and bamboo. Solid wood platform beds do not squeak as well as it is good for your back. The bed frame by lucid features is a sturdy wood construction which helps get rid of creaking noise.

One of the most asked question when it comes metallic beds is, are they safe for younger children? And the answer is always, yes they are. One of reason to why metal beds have grown in popularity over the last couple of years is the fact that they require less maintenance since as we all know metal does not dent or scratch easily making it even a more attractive option as compared to wooden and plastic beds. When it comes to durability also metal beds are currently the most durable beds in the market more durable than the wooden beds and would even handle more weight than a wooden bed frame. When you need to kick back and unwind on your own, you need a single-material bed. Single-material beds are an excellent choice for anyone that likes simplicity and practicality. Without combining materials, you get a clean and uniform looking bed that will match any bedroom. The con of a single-material bed is that they won’t stand out as much as other beds, but this can also be a pro as well, as it means they’ll easily blend into any room and not take attention away from other features that are nearby. The single-material is recommended if you’re after a bed for a minimalist setting, something that looks very simple and neutral - then you’re going to be satisfied by the single-material bed. Single-material beds also look great when you have two separate beds in the same room - the single-material look really gives the room a strong, matching and consistent appearance.

Bed Frames

Bed frames also known as bed steads are terms used to describe the support your mattress rests upon. It’s that part of your bed that holds up your mattress from the floor. A bed frame is one of the most overlooked part of a bed when making a bed purchase as most people tend to focus on the mattress alone, however, it’s good to note that bedframes play a crucial role when it comes to the comfort of your bed. As we all know a good night sleep starts with a solid foundation, a bedframe will impact the quality of sleep you get, a bed frame will even cause back pains and aches.
